Chapter One Childcare provide a caring and stimulating environment in which children can grow and develop in their early years.

Our staff are appointed and supervised to give the highest standards in care in which each child as an individual can grow and develop in a learning environment. Our management team monitor and assess working procedures, policies and staff performance to give confidence and a commitment to parents that what we say we deliver - is carried through!

Our educational activity programme is planned and organised to meet the needs of each individual. Children are encouraged to develop and master a wide range of skills. Our emphasis is on making learning fun giving children confidence and good self-esteem.

A safe, secure environment is a high priority which is why at the time of booking your child's place, you will be asked to complete a 'Who Can Collect' form, and only these people will be allowed to collect your child.

Visitors or contractors must produce ID before they gain access to the Nursery and they are required to sign the visitors book.

Health and Safety also plays an important part within the nursery. We have safety checks that ensure the nursery provides a safe environment for all the children, parents and staff. There is a nursery policy and procedure manual available for all parents to view.

Nursery staff receive regular training and updates on Health and Safety issues and we have appointed Health and Safety co-ordinators who monitor that all procedures are being met.

Recruitment of Staff

All staff are appointed following satisfactory references and disclosure certificate. They work on a three month probationary period and their performance is monitored under the supervision of senior staff.
